Let's look at months of the year according to Hebrew/Jewish calendar. These are pre-exile names.

[1] Abib / Nisan (Mar-Apr) אביב / נִיסָן

The month when Israelites came out of Egypt, the pass over month.

Exodus 13:4 On this day you are going out, in the month Abib.

Deuteronomy 16:1 "Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to the LORD your God, for in the month of Abib the LORD your God brought you out of Egypt by night.

Nehemiah 2:1 And it came to pass in the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was before him, that I took the wine and gave it to the king. Now I had never been sad in his presence before.

Esther 3:7 In the first month, which is the month of Nisan, in the twelfth year of King Ahasuerus, they cast Pur (that is, the lot), before Haman to determine the day and the month, until it fell on the twelfth month, which is the month of Adar.

[2] Ziv (Apr-May) זיו

The month when Solomon began to build the Temple.

I Kings 6:1 And it came to pass in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of Ziv, which is the second month, that he began to build the house of the LORD.

I Kings 6:37 In the fourth year the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid, in the month of Ziv.

[3] Sivan (May-Jun) סִיוָן

The month when the decree to protect Jews was commanded by Mordecai.

Esther 8:9 So the king's scribes were called at that time, in the third month, which is the month of Sivan, on the twenty-third day; and it was written, according to all that Mordecai commanded, to the Jews, the satraps, the governors, and the princes of the provinces from India to Ethiopia, one hundred and twenty-seven provinces in all, to every province in its own script, to every people in their own language, and to the Jews in their own script and language.

[4] Tammuz (Jun-Jul) (not present in Bible by name) תַּמּוּז

The month when Nebuchadnezzar penetrated Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 39:2 In the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, the city was penetrated.

Jeremiah 52:6 By the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, the famine had become so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land.

[5] Ab (Jul-Aug) (not present in Bible by name) אָב 

The month when priest Aaron died in Mount Hor.

Numbers 33:38 Then Aaron the priest went up to Mount Hor at the command of the LORD, and died there in the fortieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt, on the first day of the fifth month.

Ezra 7:8 And Ezra came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king.

[6] Elul (Aug-Sep) אֱלוּל 

The month when Nehemiah finished rebuilding the wall.

Nehemiah 6:15 So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of Elul, in fifty-two days.

[7] Ethanim (Sep-Oct) אתנים

The month when the ark of covenant was brought to Solomon's Temple.

I Kings 8:2 Therefore all the men of Israel assembled with King Solomon at the feast in the month of Ethanim, which is the seventh month.

[8] Bul (Oct-Nov) בול

The month when Solomon finished all work in the Temple.

I Kings 6:38 And in the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished in all its details and according to all its plans. So he was seven years in building it.

[9] Chislev (Nov-Dec) כִּסְלֵו

The month when Nehemiah prayed for Israel

[11] Shebat (Jan-Feb) שְׁבָט

The month when Zechariah had his vision about horsemen.

Zechariah 1:7 On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came to Zechariah the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo the prophet:

[12] Adar (Feb-Mar) אֲדָר

The month when the decree against the Jews turned into the victory of the Jews.

Days in a month:

The months of the Hebrew calendar contains 29 or 30 days a month, with the exception of 8th (Bul) and 9th (Chislev) months alternating between 29 and 30. This results in a total of 353, 354 or 355 days a year. In a leap year (every 4th year), an additional 12th month is observed with 30 days.
